Job summary

5812 Investment Group is seeking experienced Punch/Make Ready Technicians to join our Columbus, OH team. This role focuses on preparing vacant units, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining the upkeep of our properties.

We value reliability, strong communication, and hands-on skills in painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work. A strong attendance record and a customer‑friendly approach help us deliver top‑level service to residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of prior experience in maintenance or related role.
• Advanced painting, drywall, luxury vinyl tile, organizational skills, time management, cabinet work, HVAC and basic carpentry are required.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine maintenance repairs.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy through cleaning and basic upkeep.
• Interior painting and finish work as needed.
• Maintain organization of the maintenance shop.
• Retain accurate records of repairs and punches.
• General upkeep and cleanliness of grounds.
• Assist in snow removal as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.

We are seeking experienced Punch/Make Ready Technicians to join our team!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Perform minor and routine maintenance repairs.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy, such as general cleaning.
• Interior Painting, used routinely in this position.
• Maintain organization of the maintenance shop.
• Retain accurate records of repairs and punches.
• General upkeep and cleanliness of the grounds.
• Assist in snow removal as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3-5 years prior experience or relevant experience
• Advanced paint, advanced drywall, advanced luxury vinyl tile, advanced organizational skills, advanced time management skills, advanced cabinet, intermediate electrical, intermediate appliances, intermediate HVAC, intermediate computer, and intermediate carpentry
• Driver’s License and valid car insurance
• Personal, reliable transportation
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Ability to speak, read, and write English is preferred
• Service mentality and a thirst for learning
• Excellent Attendance
