Qualifications

  • Basic math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • General manufacturing experience and familiarity with sheet metal materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, nesting documents, work instructions, and process sheets.
  • Familiarity with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and material handling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC punch laser equipment to produce precision sheet metal components.
  • Load, unload, and position materials safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance and part quality.
  • Transfer and manage programs from engineering and production systems.
  • Verify proper machine startup, shutdown, and operational procedures.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, nesting layouts, process sheets, and production documentation.
  • Sort, stack, and organize completed parts for downstream operations.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance tasks and assist with troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with fabrication team members to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.

Produce Precision Parts with Advanced Manufacturing Technology

We're looking for a motivated Punch Laser Operator to join our 2nd Shift fabrication team. In this role, you'll operate advanced CNC punch laser equipment to produce precision sheet metal components that become part of high-quality manufactured products.

This position offers the opportunity to work with modern fabrication technology, develop valuable CNC manufacturing skills, and play a key role in producing quality parts that support our customers and production teams.

What You'll Do

  • Forklift, crane, and hoist operation experience.
  • Experience with machine setup, program management, and tool changes.
  • Knowledge of nesting software and manufacturing documentation systems.
