Job summary

Abrams Airborne Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Punch Press Operator to set up and run punch press equipment, producing precision metal parts to spec and on schedule.

This role requires a sharp eye for quality, strong safety practices, and a hands-on approach to fabrication. The candidate should be able to read technical drawings, inspect parts with standard tools, and coordinate with downstream operations to ensure smooth production workflows.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Punch Press Or Fabrication Experience Preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Comfort with measuring tools and basic inspection techniques.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate punch press equipment based on job requirements, programs, and tooling specs.
  • Load and position materials accurately for production runs.
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain part quality.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using standard measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions.
  • Identify and report non-conforming parts to supervision or Quality.
  • Maintain organized, safe work areas following 5S standards.
  • Coordinate with deburr, forming, and other downstream operations.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs.

Second Shift Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-1:00 AM Friday 2:30 PM-12:00 AM off every other Friday

We're looking for a detail-oriented Punch Press Operator to set up and run punch press equipment, producing precision metal parts to spec, on schedule, and with safety front of mind. If you have mechanical aptitude, a sharp eye for quality, and take pride in doing things right, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate punch press equipment based on job requirements, programs, and tooling specs
  • Load and position materials accurately for production runs
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain part quality
