Job summary

Dane Manufacturing Company in Waunakee, WI seeks a Punch Operator to operate punch machines, load and align sheets, and ensure parts meet quality standards. You will read blueprints, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues on the shop floor.

You'll work with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools, contributing to continuous improvement, quality, and safety on every shift. Manufacturing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically minded with good attention to detail.
• Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.
• Experience with CNC or manual punch presses, turret presses or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal punch machines to cut, form, and shape sheet metal.
• Load, position, and secure metal sheets for punching operations.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and programs to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concerns.
• Record production output, downtime, and quality information.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and identify ways to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.

Do you enjoy working with machinery and seeing a project go from a sheet of metal to a finished part?

We’re looking for a Punch Operator to join our manufacturing team! You'll operate punching equipment to cut, form, and shape sheet metal components while ensuring every part meets our quality standards.

If you have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and enjoy hands-on manufacturing work, this could be the opportunity for you!

WHAT YOU’LL DO
