Job summary

Crane Engineering, a Midwest-based distributor of pumps, valves, and fluid handling solutions, seeks a Service Technician. You will perform precision overhauls and installations on pumps, valves, agitators, and rotating equipment at our shop and at customer sites.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3–5 years’ rotating equipment experience, with a valid driver’s license; lifting up to 60 pounds is expected. Training will develop skills to support Crane’s service team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years’ experience on rotating equipment maintenance, repair and installation.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in precision repair, maintenance, and installation of fluid process equipment.
• Positive, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards.
• Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes Crane’s core values.
• Perform precision overhauls of pumps, valves, agitators, and other rotating equipment in house and at customer sites.
• Install fluid process equipment at industrial customer sites.
• Install and service wastewater equipment at customer sites.
• Install mechanical seals, couplings, belts, bearing seals, relief valves and other accessories.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and prepare repair or replacement recommendations.
