Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Pump Service Technician to ensure proper repair and operation of pumps and related systems. You will work on electric and pneumatic pumps, reviewing specs, testing, and commissioning on-site.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments if applicable.
• Must be mechanically inclined and have basic electrical knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and drawings to ensure code compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers and professionals to ensure proper pump installation.
• Conduct pre-functional testing and commissioning of pump systems.
• Disassemble and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with pump systems.
• Conduct flow tests to verify proper operation.
• Document and report test results to the customer.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and photos.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper repair and operation of pumps and their associated systems. The Pump Service Technician will work on a variety of electric and pneumatic pumps.Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key AccountabilitiesReview project specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that pump systems are installed correctly.Conduct pre-functional testing and commissioning of pump systems to ensure that they are operating correctly.Disassemble and repair equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve issues with pump systems.Conduct flow tests on pumps to ensure proper operation.Document and report on the results of testing and commissioning to the Customer.Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
