Job summary

United Rentals in South Roxana, IL is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, troubleshoot problems, and provide exceptional service to customers. You will train junior technicians, document service activities, and travel to customer sites to demonstrate equipment and support operations.

This role requires 3-5 years of pump repair experience, a strong mechanical background, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge with various engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities
