Job summary

United Rentals seeks a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and minor repairs on pumps in the Fluid division. You will troubleshoot, service, and repair pumps while delivering exceptional customer service on every visit.

The role includes traveling to customer sites and training lower level technicians as needed. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to work with various engines and pump configurations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background, especially with engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
