Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

We’re engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, recycling, treating and disposing of produced water for our customers. In our capacity as a natural gas processor, we also buy and sell natural gas, NGLs, and condensate on our behalf and our customers under certain gas processing contracts.

Job Summary

Repairs, maintains, and monitors pumps, seals, packing, and protective devices that support produced water, crude oil, and NGL operations across assigned facilities and pipeline systems. Performs preventive maintenance and develops toward corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for assigned pump equipment. Maintains repair documentation and ensures equipment is reliable and compliant with applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes required safety training; adheres to safety policies and programs; recognizes hazards; and appropriately utilizes stop work authority
• Applies lockout/tagout and energy isolation to pumps under supervision
• Learns the Process Safety Management (PSM) program and Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements, as applicable to assigned facilities
• Learns the pump types in the assigned area — reciprocating (plunger) injection pumps and centrifugal booster and transfer pumps — and works on those in service at the assigned facility
• Learns assigned work areas, equipment, process flows, and work processes through formal training and hands-on experience
• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) on pumps with guidance and oversight
• Assists with pump and driver overhauls
• Changes fluid-end consumables: plungers, valves and seats, stuffing box and wiper box packing
• Assists with shaft alignment and with collecting vibration data
• Learns the pressure and temperature protective devices on assigned pump packages
• Understands proper documentation for services and repairs such as maintenance reports and SAP PM01 and CM01s
• Reads and understands maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications, parts, clearances, and procedures to make necessary repairs
• Understands standard operating procedures
• Understands proper use of tools and what tools are needed
• Escalates issues beyond training and qualification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; this requirement may be waived if the candidate demonstrates the necessary competencies for the role through relevant professional experience.
• A degree from a technical or vocational school, or an equivalent combination of formal technical training and work experience, required.
• 1 or more years of experience required

• The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Certifications/Licenses

• A valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit operating a company vehicle is required.

Work Schedule

• This position utilizes 5 and 2 or 8 and 6 work schedule depending on business needs. Schedules may include overtime, weekends, holidays, day or night coverage, callouts, and on-call responsibilities.
• WES retains the right to establish or modify work schedules based on operational or future business needs.

Physical Requirements

Able to perform the essential functions of the position, including safely lifting and moving equipment, climbing stairs, working around industrial equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
