Job summary

Granite Construction in Redlands, CA is seeking a Pump Installer/Technician to repair and troubleshoot water well pumps, preparing jobs with parts and materials and maintaining equipment. A 1–3 year track record in pump installation/repair and a valid driver’s license (Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days) are required.

You will train new technicians, promote safety around pumps, motors, wells, chemicals, and tools, and handle administrative tasks such as reports and timesheets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 1–3 years pump installation/repair experience required.
• Knowledge of pumps, motors, wells, electricity, controls, piping & rehab tools.
• Safety conscious with hazard awareness for field operations.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions and train others.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot and repair water well pumps.
• Prepare job with parts, supplies and materials.
• Train Pump Technicians and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain and repair company equipment (pump rig, service truck, welder, generator).
• Perform well rehabilitation using chemicals and mechanical methods.
• Complete administrative tasks: reports, driving logs, timesheets.
