Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an entry-level Pump Tech to assist with water pump installation and to perform routine mechanical work on large water well pumps. You will follow safety procedures, operate field equipment, and work with a crew to meet project goals.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and a CDL Class A or B. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and travel as needed for job assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL license (Class A or B) is required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 2 weeks away from home.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water pump installation tasks and routine mechanical work on large water well pumps.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, cranes, generators, and pumps as needed.
• Lift and move pipe and pump components up to 50 lbs, and assist with up to 100 lbs.
• Maintain records of time, materials, and paperwork for accountability.
• Load/unload trucks and transport equipment between sites.
