Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in the Fluid division to perform maintenance and minor repairs on dryers and pumps. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment safely while delivering excellent customer service at customer sites.

The role offers opportunities for growth within the service department and requires a strong mechanical background and experience with pumps. This position is typically on-site and requires travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining dryers and pumps of various sizes.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background with engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform service documentation.
• Train lower level Technicians.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer sites.
