Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Missouri is seeking a production operator to set up, operate, and adjust machines to produce high-quality products, including pultrusion, saw, and doweling equipment.

You will perform inspections, record production data, manage scrap, maintain clean work areas, and comply with safety and packaging requirements.

This on-site role requires physical endurance and the ability to interpret drawings and routing sheets as part of daily SPC tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment to produce quality products.
• Inspect, sand, mix, saw, test, and process materials as required.
• Make visual and manual inspections and record production and scrap.
• Operate more than one machine at a time when needed.
• Interpret drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and properly label hazardous waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Operator will be required to set-up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment to produce a good quality product (examples include pultrusion, saw, doweling machine, and other departmental equipment).
• Processes performed include inspecting, sanding, mixing, sawing, testing, and processing.
• Operator may be required to make visual and manual inspections, record production, record scrap, keep required production records, and other operations as required.
• Operator may be required to operate more than one machine at a time.
• Operator must have the ability to interpret drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC as required.
• Operator will be required to maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Operator must ensure that any hazardous waste generated is properly packaged and labeled before removing from his/her area.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
• Ability to walk, hear, see and have full use of both hands.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
• Ability to climb.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from waist to shoulder and carry a distance of 10 feet.
• Ability to lift in excess of 65 lbs.
• Ability to move 50 lbs. by using a two-wheel dolly.
• These physical requirements are generalities and work may occasionally exceed the specified levels.
