Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an operator to set up, operate and adjust machines (pultrusion, saw, doweling, and other equipment) to deliver a quality product. You will read drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC as required.

Responsibilities include inspecting, sanding, mixing, sawing, testing and processing, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and recording production and scrap. You may operate more than one machine and must manage hazardous waste safely.

• Ability to interpret drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC.
• Maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Hazardous waste must be properly packaged and labeled.

• Inspect, sand, mix, saw, test, and process as part of production.
• Record production and scrap and keep required production records.
• Possibly operate more than one machine at a time.

A Day In The Life

• Operator will be required to set-up, operate, and to adjust machines and equipment in order to produce a good quality product. Examples of machines and equipment are, but not limited to, pultrusion, saw, doweling machine, and other departmental equipment.
• Processes performed will be, but not limited to, inspecting, sanding, mixing, sawing, testing, and processing.
• Operator may be required to make visual and manual inspections, record production, record scrap, keep required production records, and other operations as required.
• Operator may be required to operate more than one machine at a time.
• Operator must have the ability to interpret drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC as required.
• Operator will be required to maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Operator must ensure that any hazardous waste generated must be properly packaged and labeled before removing from his/her area.

• Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
• Ability to walk, hear, see and have full use of both hands.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
• Ability to climb.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from waist to shoulder and carry a distance of 10 feet.
• Ability to lift in excess of 65 lbs.
• Ability to move 50 lbs. by using a two-wheel dolly.
