Job summary

Xcimer Energy is seeking a Pulsed Power Operations Engineer for its Denver headquarters, focusing on operating and maintaining pulsed-power components in a state-of-the-art laser system. Responsibilities include safety-focused maintenance, test execution, and collaboration with engineers and scientists to improve reliability and performance in the Phoenix laser project.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred: coursework and/or lab work in pulsed power applications.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in pulsed power or other high voltage test operations.
• Entry-level engineers welcomed with strong lab/test experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve pulsed-power systems and experimental hardware.
• Perform electrical diagnostics to evaluate system performance and identify faults.
• Analyze transient waveforms and data to identify abnormal behavior and root causes.
• Inspect, test, install, and replace high-voltage components and cables.
• Support maintenance, refurbishment, and system readiness activities.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
