Job summary

Aerotek is seeking Structural Welders (Pulse Arc) for long-term shipbuilding projects based out of Groton, CT. The role offers $45/hour and a $140/day per diem, with weekly pay and benefits.

You will join a skilled team welding on naval vessels and supporting maintenance and construction efforts. qualifying candidates must have Pulse Arc experience and the ability to work in demanding environments, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Pulse Arc welding experience required.
• Shipyard welding experience preferred.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-pass fillet and butt welds in all positions.
• Weld using Pulse Arc (GMAW-P), MIG (GMAW), Flux-Core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and Air Carbon Arc Gouging.
• Work on large-scale naval vessels.
• Pass MIL-STD-248D weld testing.
