Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Pulp Mill Assistant Superintendent to lead the Pulp Mill team, ensure continuous 7-day operations, optimize pulp production, and uphold safety and environmental standards. You will work with production supervisors, develop maintenance schedules, and implement cost-control and quality improvements while maintaining housekeeping.

Must have 5-10 years supervisory experience in pulp processing; proficient with Excel/PowerPoint; degree in chemical eng or pulp and paper

Qualifications

• 5-10 years supervisory or management experience in pulp processing preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with high ethical standards.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pulp Mill department to meet production, cost and quality targets.
• Develop long-term operating plans and maintenance downtimes.
• Improve safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping.
• Support front line supervisors with process improvements and training materials.
• Ensure 7x24 operation with safe, efficient production.
