Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Pulp Loader for our Perdue Hill/Alabama River (ARC) facility in Alabama. The Pulp Loader safely operates mobile equipment to load product into vehicles for customer orders in Shipping.

The position pays $25.34 per hour and involves twelve-hour rotating shifts with overtime including weekends and holidays. The role requires completing pre-operational checks, following safety and weight guidelines, and coordinating with production planning to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing/military environment or an associate's degree in Process Operations or Electrical/Instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Use the daily Loading Schedule to execute the loading plan and schedule for the day.
• Complete loading activities and ensure information is accurate.
• Continue to gain knowledge of loading patterns and weight restrictions for all vehicle types.
• Communicate with Machine Operators on production schedule needs to satisfy customer orders.
• Perform pre-operational checks and document findings.
• Assist Production Planning with load problem resolution when requested.
