Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Alabama River Cellulose (ARC) mill in Perdue Hill, AL is hiring a Fiberline Operator to safely operate pulping and bleaching process equipment to meet production and quality goals. The role requires twelve-hour rotating shifts with overtime, including weekends and holidays.

The position pays $24.61 per hour. The rotation is 4 days on, 7 off, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights, with day and night shifts from 5:00 am–5:00 pm and 5:00 pm–5:00 am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• AS/AA in Process Operations or Electrical/Instrumentation OR two or more years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a computer, tablet or smart device.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process variables to maintain efficient operations and meet goals.
• Progress through skills level checklist toward the Daily Operating Center position.
• Perform equipment cleanup and basic care including minor maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Load/unload railcars and tanker trucks handling hazardous materials.
• Maintain strict safety adherence and wear required equipment.
• Attend mandatory and ongoing trainings.
