Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Pulmonology PA or NP to join WakeMed Physician Practices. The role rotates between Cary, Raleigh and North Raleigh locations and may include both inpatient and outpatient duties under the Medical Director and APP Manager.

The PA or NP will perform referrals, consults, daily rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures, and patient follow-ups, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and educating students.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with board certification.
• Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonology care.
• Complete referrals, consults, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures.
• Prescribe medications and patient follow-ups.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM/DO students and adhere to NC Medical Board policies.
