Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our WakeMed Physician Practices. The role involves providing high-quality medical care under supervision, with duties spanning inpatient and outpatient settings, including rounds, referrals, consults, notes, and discharge summaries.

The PA/NP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate students, and ensure practice aligns with state regulations and WakeMed policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with valid nursing licensure.
• DEA Required
• Basic Life Support Required - Within 6 Months of Hire
• Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant or Master's Degree Physician Assistant
• Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care under supervision of Medical Director, physician partners and APP Manager in WakeMed Physician Practices.
• Inpatient and/or outpatient care as needed, including rounds, notes, referrals, consults and discharge summaries.
• Perform procedures, clinic notes, pre/post procedure care, prescribing and patient follow-ups as outlined by clinical job expectations.
