Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking an experienced Pulmonology Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to rotate between Cary, Raleigh, and North Raleigh locations. The role supports the Medical Director and APP Manager, providing inpatient and outpatient care with a multidisciplinary team.

Board-certified PA or NP with a minimum of 1 year Pulmonology experience is required; may involve education of students and adherence to WakeMed policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with board certification in their practice area
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or Nursing, and Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year Pulmonology experience as PA/NP

Responsibilities

• Complete referrals and consults, daily patient rounds and notes
• Draft discharge summaries and clinic notes; perform procedures as needed
• Pre- and post-procedure care; prescribing medications and patient follow-ups
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in student education
• Adhere to NC Medical Board policies and WakeMed procedures

Education

Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner + Master’s Degree preferred
