Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support patient care across clinic settings. You will perform rooming, vitals, history taking, vaccinations, and medication reconciliation while assisting clinicians with procedures and lab duties.

You will handle specimen collection, POCT, and CLIA-waived testing, and ensure accurate documentation. AHA BLS and MA training are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training (DD214) in lieu of a formal MA program or EMT.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice, policy adherence and competency.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, med history, screenings.
• Assists providers with procedures and performs lab duties per orders.
• Venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived tests as applicable.
• Administers medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, insurance authorizations, messaging, and orders.
