Job summary

Advocate Health’s Aurora Medical Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

As a key ambulatory care team member, you will welcome patients, take vital signs, record histories, assist during procedures, administer vaccines, perform lab tasks, and document care in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
