Job summary

The Lutheran Medical Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our outpatient clinic to deliver essential nursing care under physician or RN supervision. You will perform patient intake, administer medications, assist with procedures, and document findings in the electronic medical record while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of clinical experience, possess an active LPN or LVN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• LPN or LVN state licensure required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient intake and documents symptoms, medical history, medications and vitals.
• Administers medications and assists with medical/surgical procedures.
• Conducts diagnostic testing such as EKGs and basic labs.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health management.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized clinic environment and proper waste disposal.
• Monitors logs for narcotics, vaccines, temperatures and expirations.
• Communicates with patients, families and providers while protecting HIPAA.
