Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an outpatient clinic role in Louisiana. The position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, collaborating with providers and a care-focused team to deliver patient-centered services.

An LPN license in Louisiana and BLS certification are required, with responsibilities spanning vital signs, patient preparation, routine nursing procedures, medication administration, and documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license to practice in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ability to provide safe, effective nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and excellent patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• As a Clinic LPN, work alongside providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and coordinate clinical services.
• Obtain and document vital signs, recognize abnormal findings, and communicate concerns to the provider.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccinations per orders and scope of practice.
• Perform routine nursing procedures and simple dressing changes.
• Collect specimens for point-of-care testing and transport to lab.
• Perform point-of-care testing according to guidelines.
• Identify changes in patient conditions and respond to urgent situations.
