Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. in La Grande, OR is seeking a Pulmonologist to join a rural Critical Access Hospital. This full-time position offers a four 10-hour day schedule and relocation assistance, with a compensation range of $550K–$600K+ per year.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited school.
• Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and long-term management for adult pulmonary conditions.
• Conduct inpatient pulmonary consultations across medical units.
• Perform and interpret bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pulmonary function tests (PFTs).
• Oversee non-invasive ventilation and long-term oxygen therapy with Respiratory Care team.
• Manage sleep-disordered breathing and review polysomnography/home sleep studies as applicable.
• Collaborate with primary care, radiology, oncology, thoracic surgery, and critical care teams.
• Utilize EPIC EHR for documentation and communication.
• Engage in practice quality improvement and patient education in a rural community setting.
