Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Pulmonary Medicine department in Greece, NY is seeking a clinical support specialist to assist providers in a pulmonary/sleep medicine practice. You will triage calls, room patients, collect vital signs, perform tests, provide CPAP equipment, and educate patients and families.

In this role you will support CPAP therapy with DME providers, maintain equipment, and assist clerical staff as needed, while delivering superior customer service aligned with the Brand Promise

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate.
• New York State Respiratory Therapist license with current registration, including credentials received before 9/1993.
• New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) license AND NBRC active CRT credentials.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls from patients and referring physicians.
• Greet patients, collect information and prepare for examination.
• Conduct pulmonary function and related testing.
• Provide prescribed CPAP equipment and education; coordinate with DME.
• Educate patients on pulmonary diseases, sleep disorders, testing, and treatments.
• Coordinate care with other providers and services.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
