Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dedicated PAP Specialist to set up CPAP equipment for patients and provide education and support. This role does not always require a licensed Respiratory Therapist depending on the state.

You will educate patients on use and maintenance, perform mask fittings, and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure timely delivery and successful setup of home respiratory equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet state-specific requirements for non-licensed PAP setup personnel.
• Background check and drug screen as applicable.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and related equipment for patients per protocols and guidelines.
• Educate patients on equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Conduct mask fittings and address comfort or compliance issues.
• Document patient interactions and setup details in the EMR system.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and customer service for timely delivery and setup.
• Monitor patient compliance data and escalate concerns to clinical leadership as needed.
• Maintain PAP supplies inventory and ensure equipment is clean and ready.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered service in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
