Job summary

Lincare is seeking respiratory care practitioners to staff a pulmonary health and rehabilitation program. Roles may be full-time, part-time, or consultant-based.

Responsibilities include implementing regimens, supporting participants, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes. Qualified candidates will have recent relevant experience, CPR/ACLS certification, and state licensure or registration.

Qualifications

• Twenty-four (24) months of recent and relevant experience.
• Current CPR and ACLS certification.
• Current registration or certification in state of practice.
• Specialization or certification in cardiopulmonary clinical area.
• Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement the respiratory regimen and assist with pulmonary participant support.
• Contribute as a multi-disciplinary team member to offer comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Communicate findings to rehab team and address program improvement issues.
• Identify modifiable risk factors and support therapeutic lifestyle changes.
• Apply contemporary theories of health behavior change to set learning goals.
• Participate in education efforts, classes, and individual sessions.
• Assist in development of individualized treatment plans with other staff.
• Develop and adjust exercise prescriptions based on GXT and daily patient response.
• Supervise exercise sessions and monitor participant responses.
• Measure oximetry, heart rate, and blood pressure.
• Assess participants pre, during, and post exercise and refer when needed.
• Observe telemetry when indicated and report changes to the physician.
• Document initial and daily assessment data in participant records.
• Participate in emergency drills and routine drills.
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
