Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN seeks a Full-Time Night shift caregiver to provide patient support in the Pulmonary Post Thoracic Surgery department. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and collaborating with nursing staff.

Training in phlebotomy may be provided; BLS certification is required within 30 days. High School diploma or equivalent is needed, with Nurse Aide preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire/date required; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs during your shift and report findings to nursing staff.
• Train in phlebotomy to assist nursing staff when needed.
• Contribute to positive physical, mental and emotional support for each patient.
