Ascension in Nashville, TN is seeking a part-time Patient Transport teammate for the evening shift at Ascension Saint Thomas West. You will transport patients, specimens and equipment throughout the facility and assist with patient transfers, while greeting and guiding patients and visitors.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. A year of related experience is a plus, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients, specimens and equipment throughout the facility.
• Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.
• Assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Deliver equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department. May assist staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
• Greet and provide information and direction to patients and visitors.
