Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Certified Pulmonary Technician in Towson, MD to perform diagnostic pulmonary tests and deliver patient care in a structured, policy-driven environment. Qualifications

• 1 year of Pulmonary Function Tech or Respiratory Therapy (RRT) experience required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Credential: Pulmonary Function Technician or Respiratory Therapist with MD licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing diagnostic pulmonary testing.
• Perform pulmonary-function, lung-capacity, diffusion capacity, arterial blood gas tests and related analyses.
• Explain test procedures to patients and instruct on breathing methods.
• Record results and convey findings to physician for interpretation.
