Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform non-invasive testing of lung function, including bronchodilator responses and overnight O2 measurements. You will calibrate lab equipment, assess patients, and educate families and physicians, while maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program and an NYS RT license or NBRC RRT credential, with strong customer service and written/oral communication

Qualifications

• Associate Degree Must be a graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Therapy.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills required.
• Able to understand and communicate (spoken/written) English.
• Detailed oriented and possesses strong organizational skills.
• Able to deal professionally with all staff and levels of management and external customers.
• Self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Flexible, organized and able to assess priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment and perform diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
• Assess patients, provide education to patients, family and physicians.
• Demonstrate professional and efficient interactions with staff and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
