Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Keyboard and computer skills.
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
• If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, evidence of automobile liability coverage may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Provides front desk coverage under general supervision.
• Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits.
• Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system.
• Clinic set-up and other office support.
