Job summary

Biodesix, Inc. is seeking a Pulmonary Sales Consultant to cover the San Diego territory in Southern California. You will work directly with physicians to drive the adoption of Biodesix diagnostic products and mentor Associate Sales Consultants to strengthen the sales team.

The role requires 4+ years of medical or diagnostic sales, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to travel up to 70% with a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of successful sales experience in medical or diagnostic territory sales.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in medical/diagnostic markets.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for junior team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for complex medical information.
• Strategic thinking to develop and implement sales plans.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel up to 70%.
• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Sales experience in pulmonary, oncology, or related fields desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead adoption of Biodesix products with physicians and healthcare providers in the territory.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive market growth.
• Mentor and guide Associate Sales Consultants (ASCs).
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in pulmonary care.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Track and report sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
