Job summary

Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System is seeking a board-certified Pulmonologist to join the Medicine Service/Pulmonary - Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. This temporary position is not to exceed 3 years and may be extended or made permanent.

The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient care for pulmonary and critical care diseases, participate in teaching, and supervise trainees. Typical schedule is 8:00 am–4:30 pm with on-call duties shared with the section.

Qualifications

• United States citizenship or eligible non-citizen status per VA policy.
• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency in an accredited core specialty with board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary/critical care services.
• Supervise and educate trainees; participate in research and quality care.
• Perform bronchoscopic and pleural procedures as appropriate.
• Follow VA and national guidelines for patient screening, surveillance and management.
• Coordinate care within the Pulmonary Service and with other departments.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
