Job summary

Oklahoma City VA Health Care System is seeking a Pulmonologist to join the Medicine Service/Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The position is temporary not to exceed 3 years and may be extended or made permanent.

The role requires Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine with a Pulmonology subspecialty. The physician will participate in a broad continuum of respiratory care and quality assurance projects within the VA system.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board eligible in Internal Medicine with subspecialty of Pulmonology.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine team.

Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonology care within Medicine Service/Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Document in VA CPRS and coordinate with other services.
• Fulfill administrative duties and on-call coverage as assigned.
