Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Lt. Col. Luke Weathers - Jr. - VAMC in Memphis, TN is seeking two full-time Pulmonary Physicians for a Specialty Care role. Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care with Sleep Medicine experience and be able to collaborate with UT Health Science Center.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (Sleep Medicine when applicable).
• Preference for experience in Pulmonary and Critical Care and Sleep Medicine after fellowship.
• Ability to participate in academic appointments with affiliated university.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide care as a Board-certified/eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care physician with Sleep Medicine expertise.
• Maintain clinical excellence and compliance with VA standards.
• Participate in rotation call schedules and committees as assigned.
• Precept Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows in specialty.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and health information practices.
