Valley Health in Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse II in the Pulmonary Care department. The role covers comprehensive nursing responsibilities, leading patient care teams and contributing to quality and safety initiatives.

The RN II is expected to complete annual competencies, maintain licensure in Virginia or West Virginia, and engage in ongoing professional development. A BSN is preferred and BLS/AHA provider certifications are required before orientation.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN license required; must be licensed or eligible in Virginia/West Virginia.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
• New hires must have AHA Healthcare Provider certification prior to orientation.

Responsabilités

• Carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
• Provide quality communication, teamwork and leadership/professionalism.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel.
• Care for the population assigned as an RN II and maintain required competencies.
• Meet mandatory competencies and participate in department initiatives and practice ladder requirements.
