Valley Health in Winchester, VA, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse II to provide direct patient care in the Pulmonary Care department. You will perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while ensuring timely documentation and strong teamwork.

The RN II leads care activities, participates in quality and safety initiatives, and supports professional practice. Requires RN license, BLS, and at least an associate degree in nursing; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required and eligible to practice in Virginia.
• BSN preferred; ADN/ASN acceptable.
• Minimum RN experience: 1872 hours full-time or part-time; 936 hours if BSN held.
• BLS certification required; AHA Healthcare Provider.
• Relevant specialty certification preferred.
• Must have reliable phone communication with hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide quality communication, teamwork, and professional leadership.
• Coordinate patient teaching and participate in quality/safety initiatives.
• Support, mentor, and lead care activities; communicate with Director/Designee.
• Maintain accurate documentation and time management for care delivery.
