Job summary

The Office of the Colorado Attorney General seeks an energetic attorney to serve as litigation counsel to the Trial Staff of the Public Utilities Commission in the Revenue & Utilities Section. The role focuses on energy and transportation matters, including solar, wind, EV infrastructure, grid modernization, and greenhouse gas reduction.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Colorado bar or eligible to waive into the Colorado Bar and in good standing at the time of application.
• Minimum of three years of practice as a litigation attorney preferred.
• Strong litigation abilities including writing, oral argument, client counseling, cross-examination, and settlement negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse caseload in energy and transportation matters before the PUC and its administrative law judges.
• Collaborate with Trial Staff and colleagues to develop strategy and prepare filings, testimony, and settlements.
• Represent the State in PUC proceedings while upholding public service and equity goals.
