You will help with admin tasks, promotional materials, social media content, research, and media outreach, and participate in staff meetings and author/agent meetings. Propose projects throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
• Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
• Open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
• A resume and cover letter are required; applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
• Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
• A passion for books is highly valued.
• A can-do attitude, love of books, and interest in marketing and publicity.
• Must have good time management skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing administrative support including mailing books, entering data, routing invoices, etc.
• Assist with the creation of promotional materials like press releases, sell sheets, and giveaway forms
• Assist with the creation of content and captions for social media
• Contribute to research projects
• Assist with outreach to media and social media creators
• The intern is invited to participate in various staff meetings and give opinions and ideas regarding promotional strategies for our books
• The intern is invited to attend and listen into various meetings with authors and agents
• The intern is invited to request specific projects of interest throughout the internship
