Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Publicist and Media Liaison to join our client’s arts and culture team. The role focuses on building media relationships, drafting compelling press materials, and coordinating coverage for events and programs.

The position is fully remote with a South African scope and a preference for Welkom, Free State familiarity. The candidate will cultivate journalists, write press materials, pitch stories, and monitor coverage, ensuring cohesive messaging across campaigns

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Arts Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in public relations, media relations, or publicity, preferably in arts or culture.
• Proven track record of securing positive media coverage.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute targeted media outreach strategies for events, exhibitions, and programs.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with arts journalists, critics, bloggers, and influencers.
