Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic agency in the Media & PR sector, is seeking a motivated Media Relations Executive to join their remote team, servicing clients in Welkom and surrounding areas in the Free State . This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with media contacts, pitching compelling stories, and securing positive media coverage for our client's diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for media, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on PR opportunities. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, while making a significant impact on client visibility and brand reputation. You will be a key player in driving media engagement and ensuring our client's message reaches the right audiences effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers.
• Proactively pitch media stories, press releases, and other content to relevant media outlets.
• Secure positive media placements and coverage across various platforms (print, online, broadcast).
• Monitor media coverage and track the success of media relations efforts.
