Job summary

City of Nacogdoches Public Works Department is seeking a Plant Operator or Trainee in Wastewater Treatment to protect public health and the environment. Prior experience is preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities include plant rounds, sampling, data logging, adjusting equipment to stay within permit limits, and supporting maintenance tasks. Texas Driver license required; ability to obtain a TCEQ Class D license within one year.

Required Qualifications

• The ability to obtain a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class D Wastewater License within one (1) year of hire date. (Pay is dependent upon possession of Class A, B, C or D Wastewater License with certificate/license pay up to $200.00 per month, for additional TCEQ licenses).
