Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with seven years in engineering design, project management, and civil engineering, preferably in public sector.
• Professional Engineer license preferred but not required; automotive or municipal licensing may apply.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and be able to meet vehicle operation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs Public Works Department staff and operations across engineering, streets, water & wastewater, solid waste, fleet, facilities, and drainage.
• Advises City on Public Works programs; leads operational strategies and priorities to meet City goals.
• Develops and manages capital improvement plans, budgets, and project deliveries; ensures compliance with laws and regulations.
