Job summary

Inframark is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a large municipal operations and maintenance team across wastewater, water treatment, and public works. This role reports to the Project Manager and leads a diverse workforce to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital planning collaboration, and client relations, with opportunities for succession planning and advancement within a growing utility leadership group.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Active Wastewater Operator License (or equivalent state-issued certification) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/operational experience in municipal wastewater.
• Experience leading large teams (50+ employees) in utility/public works environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as operational leader and trusted partner to the Project Manager.
• Lead and support a diverse workforce across utility operations, maintenance, and public works.
• Manage daily activities of wastewater treatment facilities and related operations.
• Develop and implement operational improvements for service quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across departments.
• Foster accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
