The City of Beaverton is seeking a Street Technician to support the public works team and keep roadways safe and functional. You will set up traffic control zones, assist with street construction, and operate a variety of construction equipment.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant experience in street maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CDL-B with air brake endorsement required within 360 days of hire.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, SEIU classified, and DOT-covered position. Individuals in this position will be subject to random drug screens and breath alcohol tests in accordance with DOT guidelines. There is one vacancy. The schedule will be Monday-Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm. After successful completion of probation, Technicians will have the option to be included in the on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergency response a total of five weeks each year.

Wage range: $28.84 - $38.65 hourly
Starting rate will be determined based on an analysis of related work experience as outlined in the Oregon Equal Pay Act. New hires who meet minimum requirements will start at step one. Higher steps within the posted wage range may be offered to those who have additional years of directly related experience.
