City of Nacogdoches is seeking an Equipment Operator I to join the Streets team in the Public Works Department. You will safely operate light motorized equipment and assist in maintenance, repair and construction of city streets, alleys and drainage systems.
The role requires a High School diploma or GED, knowledge of construction equipment operation and a valid Texas Class B CDL (or ability to complete the City's CDL academy). City CDL endorsements may add up to $160/month.

Are you skilled in operating light motorized equipment? The City of Nacogdoches is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Equipment Operator I to join our Streets team in the Public Works Department. In this role, you will play a key part in the maintenance, repair and construction of city streets, alleys and drainage systems.
Safely operate light motorized equipment, including trucks, tractors and mowers used in maintenance and construction work.
Assist in resurfacing, patching and maintaining city streets and drainage systems.
Move materials like asphalt, gravel, dirt and stone to get the job done right.
Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning and ordinary servicing on tools and equipment.
Work safely in close proximity to high-speed vehicle traffic.
Operate hand tools including saws, jackhammers and air compressors, as required.
Work on a rotation with the call-out crew.
